Hi,just a update,i have now got on the unorthodox crank and water pump pulleys fitted, i have also installed a nismo AFPR,set to 4 bar, what else can i do now with the mods already installed to extract a little more power without going Nistune for the time being ?

Anybody fitted the thermo spacers and what is your verdict on them ?

Also is it worth changing the 12lb XTD to a 8lbs fidenza fly ?

Thanks.

thermoblock spacers are supposed to give you cooler air flow, only good for like 1 or 2 hp, the flywheel would not give you hp, but it will make you car rev faster so it will feel like more hp.

lighter pullies and flywheel make a huge difference,

I am also running s3r cams, with most bolt ons on my p11, I was considering just doing an safc to control fuel and air ratio to see if I get any gains. good luck

Ignition timing is where you gain power with NA tuning an SAFC will never gain you much.

I am going to do the thermo spacers for sure, gain might be little gain, but it all helps with the final bhp output, plus they not that pricey either. And i know i would be able to install the spacers ok as i had the intake manifold off this year to replace one of the 3 inch water pipes that split.

Just wish there was a little more info on cam gears gain for the s3r cams, weather they are worth getting and worth the extra cash/dyno time dailing them in etc. When i go for Nistune next year.

Jorge as Sam says it's the timing where the gains are, hence why i did not bother with the unichip, can't adjust timing with that,so i was told anyway.Don't know much about them tbh.

Gorge have you had a dyno yet to see what your bhp is ?

no dyno numbers yet, I am working on 2 rr motors, one is very similar to yours, except I don't have it tuned, I think the advantage with the uk primera is that you don't have the issues we have in usa with the 2000 through 2002 models that use a 32 pin ecu like the b15 guys do, no aftermarket support. so that's why I was considering doing an sfac for mild adjustments on my daily driver.

my second rr motor I am trying to replicate what some one from your side of the pond did, and that's drop sr16ve pistons in sr20de to jump up the compression and get a little more power from it, and that one I do plan on tuning correctly. when I get done ill post results, im going on 2 years with the project.

The sr16ve pistons is a great mod for sr20de,15 to 20bhp can be gained from what i have read.I would love to do this myself,as i can get some pistons very cheap also, but no way am i pulling the engine and rebuilding it.

The sfac will help with fueling etc, just don't expect to much from it though.
