Oh it has the standard JWT ECU redline raise, 7750rpm or whatever it is. Stock I think is 7100rpm in the B14.

Checking the sheet now, the car made peak power at 7620RPM

see this is why i asked.....does it not seem fishy to you that your peak power is 100 yes 100rpm before you determened red line????? I rekon with a custom tune you will find the power you are missing.....the jwt ece will be a very safe tune so thy have no grumbles with customers

bro. get a good intake and better header and exhaust. the power is there. you just need to let it breath. id hope for atleast 150 with those cams honestly. id sell the cams and pick up a set of s4's. i had s3's in my b13 and then went s3/s4 combo and love it. i want to get some adjustable gears and play with it one day

Oh I've had plenty of JWT S -series cams. S3's twice, S4's once, C2's even etc. At the time I just wanted to try something new and plus these Tomei's were much cheaper. But yeah, S4's would be better I'm sure.

Ben at JWT just confirmed that I have the older S3/S4 cam program on my ECU that is "less refined" - and added that the Tomei cams may be big enough to run the C series program. I dunno. I like the car how it is, slow but fairly reliable.

chingching. there goes another $100+ for a jwt re-flash. getting rid of my old jwt ecu was one of my better se-r related decisions.

It'll never be as good as a real tune...

No argument here, but remember its easy. You just plug the thing in and hope it works with what you got. Although its still quite expensive; I doubt many people are buying them these days. Back when I had first was messing with SR20's it was the only option.

You are 100 percent correct, no questions asked. Buying a used JWT ECU is a cheap and lazy way to mod the car, I agree. But that's all I was really looking for. Each time I have to pry apart an ECU I go nuts. Those little screws that I can hardly see. I can barely wire my stereo in correctly. In fact I think I switched the left and rear speakers. (!!)

Quick question, my timing light isn't working properly, so I eyeballed the distributor after putting the car in timing mode. It was at 19 before.

Does this look like 15 degrees to you, looking at the top distributor bolt?
.
.

You can see its almost at the center, but advanced a little bit. I had it at 19 before, verified by the timing gun and it there was almost no space to the left, it was all to the right of the bolt (towards the cabin).

.
.
Edit: got a different timing gun, it was just about 15
