what did you expect? you knew the car has issues. (rattling muffler innards for example )why don't you fix yer stuff BEFORE going to the dyno?
i saw/felt no real performance increase with my jwt ecu when i had the s3/s4 program installed. and Kyle is right. the 25* timing is/was for the "big cam" program (s5"s and above). it also raised the target idle speed to ~900-950 rpm for idle stability with the big cams.

Listening to people's advice? I did everything but a compression check and I'm waiting for Ben @ JWT to get back to me on what ECU I have. ????

I have to ask, what is this fear of going on a dyno? I drive that car to redline everyday and suddenly because it's on a dyno people are saying because my muffler is messed up that somehow the world is going to end. I don't get it. It's just a car, dude.

I think his point is, if you are expecting top performance out of your engine you need to take care of the little things and check to make sure the engine is in top running condition. A few simple things that are incorrect can decrease performance by quite a bit. Honestly, it is a waste of your time and money going to a dyno with an improperly prepped car. Most people don't just through money around and want to make sure the car is in tip top shape so they do get the numbers they want / expect from the dyno.

Also as others have said, a dyno measurement is just for reference, if you want to compare your car against others you need to do it on the same dyno or a 1/4 track. We are all trying to help you and try to help you learn. Do as you want, but do not expect everyone to agree with everything you are doing.

To get the most out of any setup, from a stock motor with an intake to a fully built turbo motor, you will need a way to tune and an understanding on how different components work.

I wanted a baseline of what the car was running as it was, so I can see what I can do to improve. 4 dyno sessions were $40 bucks. That's a tank of gas in my Sorento for a 2 hour drive. No big deal.

That would not be apparent from your thread title. You asked for our input and you received it. Do as you wish.

Huh? How can I know it needs improvement unless I dyno it first?
I mean the butt dyno isn't that accurate. I'm going to start with a new exhaust system and new muffler. No more dyno max.

Those dynomax mufflers with the flap are shit, they are obviously not good for flow since they a flap that works on pressure to open. Get a cheap forza pan muffler, they are very quiet much quieter than a magnaflow and are 60 bucks shipped. Id also take the car to the track at least, your trap speed will give a good indication if your car is down on power. Should trap somewhere around 95+mph, you also dont need a quick time just as long as the trap speed is there. Car does seem like it is down on power for the mods it has.

Good point. I'm saying goodbye to the dynomax very soon.

<----not having good luck with the SR20's lately.

dont get down on the SR motor just sounds like you dont have any1 in your area that you can run your car against for comparison. On your second vid wer you did 1st and 2nd gear drive by the car sounds good ands seems ok from this stand point, as every one has mentioned mabey its time to hit the drags and see wot she pulls I pulled 15.4 quarter mile on avarage tyres which seems close to your setup
