Thread: still having problems

got the motor timed right. now if im drivin it seems slugish if i stay half throttle it runs to where its driveable but if its anything past half throttle it runs like crap. for example if i stay half throttle the motor will go all the way to redline just fine if i give it full throttle and it hits 6k rpms then it starts popping and spitting like a 2 step. if i go half throttle past 6k rpms then go full throttle it falls on its face and starts poppin and spittin just like a 2 step. any ideas wtf is goin on ?

Fuck it, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say what I wanted to in your first post. I think your distributor is flipped 180.

dont the dizzy only go in one way ???

Honestly, I don't recall on the sr. However, the last 240 I bought would run like shit and it ended up being the dizzy rotated 180. It had the ka with the pinion style gear though. I've been out of the sr game for a few years and just getting back into it. Also, what injectors, maf, and ecu are you running?

Forgot to mention tonight my buddy hooked up a timin light to it the way it was running which was better then its been running it was at 32* timing. we put it to 19* and it was barely idlen idk what the issue is

cause checking that over might reveal some problems
