Just an FYI, S5 cams are not recommended by JWT at all, in any way, ever. Except if you're running a race series that limits cam modifications so you can't use S4 HL or C1 cams. That is why they were created, and JWT recommends S4 HL or C1 cams instead to most, or even C2 cams for those who want to go nuts on the street.

I have S4HL cams now and the Panda runs great. I have had both S3 and S4 cams in the past and there is definitely a difference with the HL's

Ive always loved the S4 (HL) the most. Best drop-in cams for DE in my opinion.

I wonder what would be best setup for C2 cams, that i got recently very cheap (with damage what will be repaired). Im thinking simply SR16VE pistons with stock (cleaned) head. That should work well in a DE with good manifolds.

back in the day i upgraded from s3's to s5's. with typical bolt-ons i saw ~170hp at the wheels. car was a friggin' beast, i loved it
then, a few thousand miles later, an oem valve spring broke, grenading the motor. at the time they were sold as NOT REQUIRING aftermarket springs
that's how i went VE.
