hy.

the 270 tomeis are procams. a poncam is about 264 degrees. afaik.

we have swapped into a sr20det rwd motor some bc stage 2 cams with the whole retainers set. i would not use more than 264 degree cams without retainrs etc. did not know anything about the jwt stuff. i'm located in vienna austria. so cant tell you anything about the s5. but what i've read about was that many guys fromthe states use the jwt s4's.

greets

there procams, not poncams. poncams for sr20de only go to 260degree.

I run s5's in my de it has stock springs with stock ecu and runs like a raped ape. Only thing I didn't like about the cams were there was rough casting around the outside of the lobes it doesn't affect anything but I feel that's just a poor way to machine new cams they should have been back cut to remove rough casting. I would recommend the s5's I beat my motor every week at the track hard and had no failures even whooped a few h22a Hondas as well as a new body sentra ser

Storm like every one else has said you have PROCAMS pon-cams are for stock valvetrain, procams should be run with valve springs and ecu tune at the least. The reason you are missnig power with your set-up is that you need a tune and possably a new exhaust, big cams also require higher compression to really come to life. I dont think you should be looking into new/or diffrent DE cams I think you should be getting yourself 16ve pistons BCsprings and a daughterboard at the least to sort you tuning.

My De is 10.1cr and putting down 119wkw/160whp on nz dyno all bolt -ons 260deg poncams "but im tuned" that is the diffrence. Ve pistons should net me 170+whp combine that with cams (+springs) your size I should be hittng early to mid 180whp on a stock bottom-end. hope this helps

IMO, the "S4 HL" cams are the way to go overt S5. HL stands for High Lift.
