A turbo usually takes care of that issue.

If thats directed at me...no hard feelings here,Pat.
I know what that motor ran like when it was pulled,so whatever you have done since you got it is where the issues came from.
Maybe when you swapped the JDM intake manifold on you got a vacuum or intake leak somewhere or something. There HAS to be something, because it was running strong and flawless.
Dont forget that motor has around 250,000 miles on it,so its not factory fresh, either.Thats why I gave it to you instead of selling the motor.
You have the same header I had still on it,so its not that. Maybe your exhaust is smaller, but that would be a huge difference.I had a 2.5 mandrel bent setup.
A stock SR has a alot of low end ,the S3 cams dont really lose much bottom at all...they just add on top.
It was a nice gain over stock when I installed them.
Where the stock cams start to fall off,the S3 keep on pulling to 7000ish.

Are you using a bone stock ecu? or a chipped basic board/ JWT ecu?

If your one a stock oem unchipped ecu, set your timing to 19-21 deg

Yep,thats a good idea.I had it set to 15 for the JWT ECU I was running....although it ran strong on the factory ecu at the same timing.
That would make a difference for sure.

Problem solved. engine screams now. I advanced the timing. cleaned the maf and put on my cai. also welded up my egr plug on the header. engine pulls stupid hard now.
