Bada-bing.

I am real happy to see these kinds of numbers without the attention-grabbing, sanity robbing, noise from a 3" exhaust.

As you very well know, I am going to upgrade my 2.5" exhaust with the two (2) in-line Vibrant Ultra-Quiet Resonators. My eventual goal is maximizing my OEM-reliable NA horsepower within the constraints of an header/exhaust that clears the cross-member and is relatively quiet. My exhaust and sound-pressure levels will be my horsepower limiting factors, and so be it.

You see thats the nice thing about the VE though is the low lobes keep a 3" exhaust pretty quiet when out of VVL. Peters VE 200sx had an SSAC header, 3" exhaust with no cat, no resonator, 3" straight through muffler and it was pretty quiet overall even cruising. I know how loud S4's can be on a DE though and 3" exhaust.

Great work Joe and to all those that helped him out. Definitely nice numbers from a DE thats for sure.

333 VE injectors, editing first post now to add this info since it would be relative for anyone interested in duplicating our efforts

Great Data Joe. I like how you say it makes more torque than the VE comparison motors. There's probably room for more power too, if you get an improved exhaust and maybe step up to some C2s or C3s.

Depending on how 2013 goes in terms of other pending projects, I am certainly keeping an open mind on track only exhaust options. If I can keep it below the 98 dB limit, a track day 3" no cat resonator only with a turn down is something I would try. With C3's of course.

Anyone have any idea as to how loud this would end up being? And will a resonator off the header with a simple turn down would keep the exhaust out of the interior? No way I want carbon monoxide in the interior during a session.

3 inch exhaust with a resonator and either a greddy sp2/tanabe pan/forza pan muffler is really quiet. Idk why people think magnaflows are quiet, they are pretty loud even the pans.

I know Rallyser has some C2s and he's local here in Atlanta. Look him up if you are interested.

Yeah, they are loud... and i bought them because people told me they are quiet.

The setup is very nice. Always nice to see some oldschool DE builds.

I have a magnaflow pan exhaust and magnaflow resonator and my car is quiet.
