Winter tuning thoughts..
Ok, I have been reading for weeks, and I'm very confused, by all the numbers, and everything..
Ok, so what I have is a sr20de and 5 speed trans out of an s14 Silvia. It's mostly stock, but running a custom intake and a Sentra exhaust manifold. Has a lightweight flywheel and clutch.
It's in my roadster. My plan for the car is canyon carving, very light club track days road racing, and daily driving.
I would like to bump the power, but keep the car reasonably drivable.. So my thoughts are these. Cams, exhaust header, and ecu tuning.
I'm thinking the JWT S4 cams, and probably their ECU.. The header is more complicated, because it's not for a standard application. It needs to stay close to the motor to clear the frame rail and steering shaft, and turn to the back to get out. Once I find a header, I will have the rest made custom to get back, hop the axle, and get out.
I think the intake is reasonable as is, it's a custom tube from in front of the radiator with a MAF sensor.
Does this sound reasonable? I'm reading cam specs and such, but I'm not really seeing systems and what works together.
Thanks in advance..
