Quick general exhaust que
First heres what I got going on. I'm swapping a GA16DE from my wrecked 98 200sx into the shell of a 96 200sx with a blown GA16DE. My 98s exhaust has a brand new Catalytic Converter, but its one piece with the headers. As the 96s exhaust system has the header and cat separate. The first O2 sensors are in the same place on both but the 2nd O2 sensor on the 96 is coming out from underneath the rear seating area into the back of its Cat and on my 98 the 2nd O2 sensor is up near the firewall. My first question is there any noticeable performance difference in the 2 setups, like is one better than the other (cause if not i'd prefer using my newer one piece Header/Cat)? My 2nd question is, I ended up cutting the second O2 sensor on the 96 cause i couldn't get it out of the Cat and figured i'd have to extend the wires anyway up to where my O2 sensor would be in my 98s exhaust system once I drop it in, but whats the best way to do this without effecting the resistance to much so the O2 sensor reads correctly?
