Thread: check timing question

real quick is the timing procedure the same with a obd1 as it would be with a obd2 sr20

heat engine
rev to 3k 3 times
disconect tps
look at timing with light
move timing to desired pos..
reconect timing???

Yes it is the same. The rain dance is to make sure you car is in ok condition. If you are sure it is, get it to warm temperature, disconnect TPS, adjust timing, reconnect TPS.
