Cam selection directly related to what you wish to do with the engine!

Exactly.. for me, that list was for all N/A SR20DE's. I know the JWT S4's (I think) were great on boosted ones.

funny how the tomei's are second in the mix with a jwt street cam, then jwt race cams dont even feature?my car is basicly a weknd ride/track day car i have easy acess to tuneing and run a daughter board so alot of my low end can be managed. At this stage im still leaning twards tomei with spring/ret kit, but after looking into the jwt selection im cerious about the c3s???

That said i know tomei have nice ramp rates and quality thats second to none

The C3's I think are meant more for turbo'd SR20s.. I could be wrong..while the C2's I think are meant more for heavily modded N/A cars (i.e. - header w/ at least 3" collector, 3" exhaust, pulleys, CAI, ECU w/ cam program, strong tune etc)

You are backwards on that statement, storm.

Pardon me - C2s are for turbo, C3 for N/A

In my opinion they rank like this, considering price, low end loss, high end gain, and overall quality:

1) JWT S3

2) Tomei 270

3) JWT S4

4) JWT C2 w/ valve springs

5) JWT S2

I choose the JWT S3 as the all-around best one because of the better down-low power. Now obviously if you are trying to make the most peak HP then you'd probably want to run the C2's with the springs, but that will cost you a lot of dough. The Tomei 270's and the JWT S4's feel almost identical but I made the Tomei's my #2 choice simply because they are like $200 cheaper than the JWT's.

hey Jordan! do you have actual dyno charts of all those cams in your sr20's that you could post up? something for the readers to compare?

This is Dustin from Bc and the statement is incorrect. We use the same cam core as JWT, KELFORD, GSC and CROWER. The cam is then finished ground to our BC spec. We stand behind our products 100% and if anyone has any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me direct @ 619-749-9018 or email me @ dustin@briancrower.com

I wish.. this is all going back 10 years or so. But all the cars were basically modified the same, stock SR20DE, JWT ECU, exhaust, cold air, UR pulley sets, hotshot headers. I like the S3's the best because the cars were all daily drivers (another thing to keep in mind) and I didnt have to rev as high to get around town. I am just going by opinion and not by which cams made the most power (where it should be clear that the JWT C2/3 cams with their valve springs should make the most in that group)
