Thread: SR20DE valve seals

hi gus, tried to intall all valves yesterday, installed valve oil seals and gasket kit i got , came valve oil seals, ok, intake fitted good but exhaust didnt fit, exhaust are wider, asked to spare parts but he dont help me much on this..someone has size of exhaust valve seals please? i'd appreciate it a lot.

Another question is..this engine is SR20DE red top 150hp instead 143hp¿?

The valve seals should be all the same on the DE/VE. Not sure about DET.

i assume intake are 6mm and exhaust 7mm? it's possible?

It's SR20DE.

I figured that from the topic title. Where is the motor from, US, UK, J? Is it a redtop? US DEs only list one valve seal and i know my VE used the same seals as well. You might have a DET as i do not know if they are the same but i do know they have different valves.

i got this engine from a crashed car with swap, im pretty sure it's a red top rocker arm low port... Im in Europe. it came from nissan primera...

Possible a rr then. Does it have cams oil tubes on top the the cams cap? Its a tube with a couple of bends in it

no, it's rocker 100%. im rebuilding it. it has oil tubes yes.

doesn't really matter what engine it is.

If the exhausts are bigger then they can only be 7mm as long as its an SR20, Verify with mic or caliper. You would need valve seals from the DET engine.

Those would be sodium filled valves if the stem is 7mm.

You should be able to get aftermarket viton reasonably priced or OEM.
