thanks for all the info ive fitted the light weight pulleys so im looking at next year (so saving now) to buy

a 4-1 manifold like a JMR or similar and a 3'' mandrel cat back then

getting a 2nd engine to rebuild with new parts head gasket etc along with

sr16ve pistons
uprated springs etc
and some rather beefy cams

would like a 8000rpm limiter and something around the 185-190bhp at the fly? do you guys think this is possible? thanks

just look at Rowdys build... 190whp with a fuji header and a crush bent 2.25" exhaust....

that is very true. im abit 50/50 on the gains of manifold etc sam. but defo think the way forward with de is to copy rowdys build in a way

Haha absolutely brilliant.

If you're sticking with a DE, having been on track in Rowdy's it doesn't feel like it wants for anything more, it has epic top end pull and I mean completely EPIC. Open wheelers like Caterhams were getting strung up with ease by Ian in the GTi in the straights and corners, if you can copy his spec and get a load of weight out the car, you will have a weapon.
