There are already proven DE ITB setups out there but guys continue to take the cheap way out and play with gti-r/hyabusa throttles and get shitty results. Without knowing the science behind throttle sizing and placement I would suggest sticking with a stock manifold.

Should have stated the past two posts and saved the argument. I agree with you.

But let me ask you this. With the knowledge behind it, do you think with something like the Mazworx intake manifold blank, a set of GTiR quads, some engineering knowledge and fab skills, and say something like the Nistune or the other one available something could be done that is worthwhile?

Here is my reasoning for this.

Say we spend 500-800 dollars for a Hotshot Gen 6 or whatever header we can find worth a damn ( excluding SSAC etc).

We normally net X hp from these. Lets say 20-30 hp sometimes more depending on the engine build.

Now.. if a budget intake manifold build ( 500-600) dollars done properly can net 25 whp.. where is the harm?

I am leaving the ecu out of the cost of this, as just about any serious setup will end up having one.. so what is the difference in spending it for a budget ITB setup or anything else that would require it.

Also, which setups are you mentioning that are already out there and proven? Are any of these state side?
