I've read the same thing, and told him, but he doesn't care. He's excited to see what it'll do. I've seen pictures of it done on a VE-swapped GTi-R (in Jamaica, I think). I never saw any dyno sheets to see how it really did though. Soon, we will know.

His plan is to eventually modify the top plenum of the ITBs to allow a 3" opening on it so he can have it be 3" all the way from the MAF to the plenum.

Size, port entrance angle, distance from head, length. All wrong.

If you want to make 20whp less than the stock manifold, knock yourself out.

I haven't read the whole thread but I have put on GTiR quads onto a Highport P10 engine and then a friend did the samething to his car.(same engine) Needed the manifold to be re-drilled and some porting can be done to make everything match.

Maybe it will somehow make power. If it does, cool. I will ditch my big plenum and modify a complete GTI-R setup I have sitting at my house to fit my big bore.

I would never allow such a thing.

knowing the VE guys all it would take is some guy to post up " OMFG VVL engagement sounds so cool with ITB's!" and it would be an overnight sensation
