Thread: Help with cams

I HAVE TWO SETS OF CAMS LAYIN AROUND. First set is 53j 10, 53j 4.. second set it 53j 9, 53j 11... CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THESE ARE OR THE SIZE ? OR ANYTHING ABOUT THEM ? THANKS

You have to measure the lobes bc high-port cams and aftermarket billets are marked 53j. Sorry but that's all I know maybe someone else knows more.

My 98 lowport cams (which are the worst factory cams) are marked 53J 3 for the Intake camshaft and 53J 10 for the Exhaust camshaft.

Measure the lobes on your cams.

LOL @ 98 lowport cams. Awful. How Nissan got the 1998 Sentra SE and 1998 200SX SE-R to still be rated at 140hp and 132 ft lbs of torque, I have no idea. I had a '98 Sentra SE and installed a '91 intake cam, and after it felt so much stronger. I remember having a "spirited driving session" in my '91 Sentra SE-R with an intake, vs. a '98 Sentra SE with a buncha mods and it was like racing a Civic DX.... spanked.
