No, you haven't!

Just because you haven't seen it online on some Forum post, doesn't mean it didn't happen before 1998!

Here is the way things work and this goes for any kind of invention or idea.

If somone does something before someone else but doesnt make it publicly known or put on paper and patented then someone else comes along later and does the same thing but does make it publicly known, then well, that person is the "inventor" of it. Pretty straight forward. The other guy that didnt do anything or make it known would have nothing to prove he was. This is the way things go dude.

Not trying to take Mikos side but I remember his posts from way back then on doing this and that was the first ever Ive seen it done or seen it publicly posted. So again who knows. All I know is that he was the first (so far to date) to incorporate the idea and publicly post it. So in a court of law, Miko would be "inventor" of this idea. Sorry.

I invented the SR20!

I just never told anyone about it till Nissan bought it from me and claimed it as their own!

I think Mazworx was just saying that the SR has been around since 1990 or something and that it is tough to claim that you were the first to do something with a global market like the SR20 has. I am for sure Miko was the first around my boards and mailing lists that was doing it though as I remember reading about it right after I got my first SE-R in 1998/99 time frame.

If you want to stake claim in an idea or a product..patent it...otherwise you can expect threads, conversations and arguements like these for as long as time goes on LOL

I appreciate the posts Andreas has done over the years letting everyone know about this mod.

Who cares if someone else did this before? If they did, then they kept it a secret for themselves instead of sharing with the community. In which case they don't deserve any credit.
