Cut aways of the STI muffler

The outlet is a resonator too.

STI muffler on my DET Sentra, there is an AFR rod inside thus it gave extra rumbles

Turbo VE , 3" exhaust, No resonator, 3" STI muffler (bored outed). That's my exhaust vibrating against the body of the car, I since then lowered the exhaust so it wouldn't touch the sides.

NA VE, Borla Resonator and 3" STI muffler (bored out)

From inside the car (only intake is audible)

It has a very deep tone down low, but even then at idle mine is showing at around 68db. At no load WOT I think it got to 92db or so.

It has a very unique sound, similar to the STI's, but exactly the same though (boxer vs inline). Though most of my friends said it sounded like an STI.

For comparison here is a WRX muffler, which is known for a not having the same rumble and is more restrictive.

I wish i knew about the Dynomax VT when I did my exhaust. Would have saved me money, weight, and would probably be quieter.

I have a vibrant muffler in 2.5 for sale... brand new. It's the stealth type all black.... If you would like it let me know... I can cut you a deal $100 shipped to your location. I planned to use it but someone stole my entire exhaust from my garage. This is what it looks like. Let me know.

They also burn up, then they start sounding like crap.
