I agree. Dynomax VT is great. I wont be even thinking about straigh pipe or so when this muffler cost 99usd.

Drag pipe - YouTube

Thats definitely not an exhaust for the street. Thats more racing style, especially being side exit.

I run a hotshot Gen 6 with the 3 inch merge collector, mated to a VRS 3 inch Test pipe and 3 inch stainless VRS NX Catback with magnaflow sound cannon.

I will be reading up on this Dynomax VT muffler. It sounds like the same technology that is in the C6 vettes and such. They really work.

I also put down over 150 whp untuned with this setup on an untouched (internally) 10:1. Just the header, exhaust and custom intake.

Straight piping on a de sounds like ass. You will hate it! Save your money and spend it on a quality set up. Besides your neighbors, local authorities and everyone else will like the fact they don't have to hear your car from across town.

Sounding like ass is a matter of preference. Depending on the exhaust manifold, yes it will sound like ass. Exhaust piping material has a play in it as well. But personally.. the sound of a straight through DE sounds mean as fuck. On a 10:1 engine it really helped out surprisingly. I was walking a stripped C2/JWT computer and full bolt on SER with my 3 inch wonder setup. People can hate, but dont knock it til you try it. Being 25 now, i do want to quiet it down. At least run a high flow 3 inch Cat, like the magnaflow. But to the haters, sorry, I dont want my car to sound like a honda with exhaust. Let the SR20 nastiness show through.
