What the hell is a "stage 1" clutch?

So is this what makes it a "stage 1"?

It's really hard to beat the OEM clutch. It is almost perfect for normal use. What are you going to be using the vehicle for, and how much torque are you planning on needing to deal with?

What do you mean, performs better?

Less rotational inertia? More torque holding? More heat resistance? Smoother engagement? Quicker engagement?

ben's right it really amounts to what are you power goals and how will you use it. u don't want to over clutch or under clutch the car.

Payu; JWT PP + B15 disc.

Take out the track use, and you should be fine with this.

As you know Ben, I have that exact clutch set-up from Greg V.

LOVE it. Feels like stock to me, near as I can remember stock.

It will also hold up to my planned future bolt-on VE with no problems.

Lots of options i see..Okay so my plans on my b13 are just boltons, puls basic stuff..it'll be my daily driver but with a kick to it..im guessing. Stage 1 being meaning not for OEM use lol..I definitely want quicker engagement and smoother.something that'll grab faster than sock but that wont kill me in traffic...

Here is another vote for JWT pp and B15 disc. Simply can't be beat for the price, especially at the zero to lightly modded phase.
