Teach her to drive a stick..... Real women drive stick An auto sr20ve probably won't be much better than an auto 10:1... You don't want to run that trans, I believe it is a CVT. If she really must have an auto, run a usdm sr20 trans with a ve but I think the whole thing is a huge waste of money
Is she trying to use the Cvt? Lets say a VE should be $700 just for the engine, maybe what like 200 for the transmission, 200 for the ecu and harness. The price seems competitive considering you get shipping.
Using the CVT would be interesting though. I've never heard of anyone over here in the states pulling off a cvt swap.
I agree teaching her how to drive stick would probably be the best thing in this situation, lol.
guys. ive tried. she is un-teachable. BUT!!!! she knows how to change an axle and take out a dash and seats... so i guess ill train her to be my pit crew :P but seriously, i kinda think the idea of an auto ve is pretty neat. i never thought about it till she asked me. I mean i love stick, but sometimes it gets so annoying and i wish i had a fast auto... idk
She loves VE;s tho. when B13SR20BB drove away from the gas station we met at he popped cams and it sounded oh so good, and she loves it.
Auto transmissions do not last at all, they hate rpm's. I had a P10 with a 10:1 auto, ran good but after a whule the converter was not letting go and car was chugging gas and got progressively slower. Unless you plan on doing a valvebodu and upgrating the toque converter, a VE is going to kill transmission in quick order.
