Thread: 99 g20 sr20de engine fit 96 g20?? HELP HELP!

Hey guys, i just sold a 99 g20 good running motor, but my customer has a 96. stupid interchange says 94-96 g20 only & 95-99 sentra engines are compatible. but the interchange for 99 g20 says 99 g20 only!!

i'm about 90% sure my customer can use the 99 g20 engine for his 96 g20, with possibly some additions or subtractions, like sensors or intake manifold change.


What do you guys think.. Motor will be shipping in about 3 hours MAX. any input will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, just have him swap intake manifolds.

Swapping intake manifolds is the easiest way, it can be done without doing that but you have to get a little creative with vacuum lines.

yeah, I suggest swapping out the intake manifolds so that all your vacuum lines are back to normal.
