The weld quality is actually very good on mine. If they skimped anywhere, I think their idea of SS and mine are a little different. After a year and some change, I see some corrosion on the DP where I wouldn't expect quality stainless to show. Then again, there's the NE conventional wisdom that aluminized/nickel plated lasts a season or few, stainless a few more and that's it. Even if your car never sees snow, when the roads are wet in April you still get salt spray.

I'll buy something else eventually, but IMHO other than the obvious ripoff of someone else's design its not a bad product for the money. Just don't expect quality gaskets or it to last forever. My hotshot cracked for the Nth time, same spot it had been welded before, needed something quick, 'cause they just had closed up shop.

Btw thanks for the above links, it was hard for me to find much when I was looking for a replacement.

Btw Alpha, no grinding was needed. Sorry if I gave that impression. I just had to use a copper insert to get a really good seal with the flange of the EGR tube end, plus my bud made my copper gaskets at the aerospace company he where he works.

The fit overall was very good except putting any 2.5" pipe between the Progress LCA and Progress FSWB is not simple, there's not much clearance and you do have to use what little adjustment you have to avoid the DP banging on the bars on a B13.
