Nisport
I ordered an EGR block off kit for the Highport SR20de, the plate for the EGR was made perfectly... but the bolt holes on it did not match... just a heads up if someone is thinking about getting it... also how did you guys get your EGR tube out?

How far off were they? You sure you didn't order the lowport plates? You need to soak to egr tube with plenty of WD or PB to loosen it up. I did that, and worked on it with a big Crescent wrench, and hammer. It takes alot to get it loose sometimes. You may need to take the mani all the way off to get to it.

I ran the car so the manifold was really hot after I sprayed it down. Then I sprayed more on it and used a big crescent wrench and a hammer like stated above.

You can buy plates from a gentleman named Loren. I don't know if he is on here but he is on g20.net. His screen name is DMSentra and his email is lpctq "at" msn.com

I know his fit because I use to make all the plates and when I couldn't produce them in a timely manner anymore I gave him my drawings. He is an excellent member of the community and probably has a faster turnaround time then nisport.

Also to remove the egr tube I found that if you take the back side off of the tube, intake side, the exhaust side is much easier to remove. If that fails cut the tube and use a box wrench.

Yeah , the Plate is on pretty tight with just one bolt and gasket sealer, i cant hear, feel,or see a leak on it. And the tubes im just gonna have to work at more i guess :?... i might just get a new header... maybe the ss auto chrome?

Im not really interested in getting new plates just yet, im having some idle issues im more worried about at the moment. But i just wanted to inform everyone that the plates from nisport do not fit all the time

if it were me I'd get correct fitting plates before looking elsewhere for idle issues. And get the tube out and plug the header correctly. Leaks on either end there causes havoc. I would eliminate a known problem before attempting to see what else is wrong. But that is just how I do it.

Plus I would use OEM gaskets instead of RTV or "gasket sealer" on plates.
