Thread: need help wierd bogging hesitation

Hey fellas having a wierd issue with my G20. Pretty much everytime I start my car (only on cold starts) she will start up idle fine for like 5 seconds then the idle will begin to bounce. If i attempt to drive the car when the idle is bouncing it will bog and hesitate violently. However after like 3 min of this when the car gets a little warm problem dissapears. So far I've changed the iac sensor and the maf with no luck any suggestions?

Do you have a cat conv? Mine had basically blown out and schrapnel was partially blocking the system so untill it got warm and things got blown about it would bog down really bad. I did that and checked the things below so for now all seems well.

Maf/Grounds
Have you grounded it? Just run a ground from the back of the intake mani to the middle white wire and splice it in. That will let a more accurate reading be sent to the ecu which should help with idle. Also make sure your engine grounds are good.

Spark
Check your ignition coil/ignitor, I just pick up a used one from a local salvage yard and used it to test. Cant hurt...
