blue bird head with de bottom end.
ok so we are about to put together my blue bird head with a stock sr20de bottom end. who has done this? any pointers? advice? might boost it or 75 shot it? will it work??

im assuming you mean a turbo head? blue bird is a car not a motor. if so its the same head only with 1mm larger and better exhaust valve stems.

I dont understand what your doing though. Unless you just had both laying around and wanted to slap a motor together. Its gonna be the same thing as a DE just with sodium filled valves. Itll take the same power as a DE also.

Its the same. Only thing is yes 7mm valve stems and sodium filled ex valves. The jdm DE also uses this same head so no problems

I was under the impression that only SOME De's used the sodium filled valves. As in the red top UKDM De's.

In my 91 FSM (B13-N14) it says the DET also has a rocker arm pivot vs HLA, and dual valve springs. I had thought that DE and DET was the same, besides the valves, or is this the GTIR DET that the FSM is referring to?

You are correct. The 10:1s, and DETs do. All other standard DEs don't.

My last post up above I figured out my own question. It was the GTIR I was referring to.
