Thread: Need advise more hp sr20

Hi, first of all congratz on such a excelent forum,
I just recently got a 200sx se-r 97 sr20de, im basically new in the nissan world, my engine is basically stock (only CAI), so i need your advise on some parts from other nissan engines, so i can get a little bit more hp without spending to much,

Let 'er breathe! More air in and more air out! Intake/throttle body/header/hi flow cat/cat-back exhaust.

A cheap upgrade is an ECU (computer) from a '94-'97 Infinity G20. It will give you a higher redline and a slightly more aggressive timing map.

for the g20 ecu, should i look for a MT? or doesn`t matter?? is it plug and play ecu??

If you have a MT than you should look for a MT ECU. I think you want a '95 or '96 MT ECU which raises the redline and removes the top-speed limiter.

and i was reading the link, and the best cams are the 91 92?, should i look for the intake only or for both cams?

Just the intake cam. Guys have been doing the intake cam and G20 ECU upgrade for years. If you search the forum and google "'91 intake cam in 200sx s-er" you will find tons of literature to read. Or just search "91 se-r intake cam.

But you should do some searching as well. The veterans on the forum will give you a rough ride if you keep asking questions that have been asked and answered hundreds of times. But I don't mind. Anyway, good luck and read, read, read!!
