I forgot to answer a question, I run a 13 row setrab oil cooler on both cars. The coolers are ducted and are really effective. We run windage trays and scrapers and those are real effective at lowering the oil temp as well. We usually see something like 180-190 degrees so I run a thin 5w30 oil.
Like I said I could run higher compression but I would have to run race gas. I could go bigger bore but for both things, I am right on my power to weight limit for TU class so I can't make more power.
Look out for the Fontana Nissan SE-R and Martin's G20 with low pressure turbo power. The Fontana Nissan car makes 210 hp and 220 ft lbs right now and thats gonna be mean. Expect Martin and Rockwood to do the same. Also look at the Honda's of Andy Hope and Edik Stepanyan. They only weigh 2150 lbs with driver, 400 lbs lighter than the Sentras! They turn lap times of 1-3 seconds a lap faster than the Sentras have been turning. Look for the APD TSX and the Robispec RX-8 to get a lot faster in the near future. They are both pros and both had hastily built and untested cars at Cal Speedway.
We are focusing on Dai's car doing stuff like cams and tuning that should give him 10 more hp and improving the aero. I am also looking for 4.40 gears for the Dog II and have done some minor aero refinements since cal speedway. Both cars should have higher rev limits by then.
I also could probably do a lot of things but I don't want to spend the money. I am also the series technical director and I really don't want to win, it could be seen as a conflict of interest. I am really running just to fill the grid for now until the series gets more popular.
Look for Matt Powers to be driving my car in the future. If he can bring sponsorship dollars into the program, then the car might get serious development. Redline is going to have to work with FD for next year so the schedules don't conflict.
A lot of the FD stars are interested but with more than half the events falling on the same weekend, they can't get sponsers to pony up. If Redline can fix this you will probably see Mike Essa, Justin Pawlack and Kyle Mohan next year. These guys will bring media and more interest.
As far as meets, I don't have a street Sentra anymore.
