So the N1 would be worse or better on a DE/T?

Both have 53J on them, in addition the Sr16 has K1 the N1 has K2 on the casting.

The one I pulled off my car. (1995 B14 SE-R)

The OEM Nissan Part I got from a dealership.

I do not see a difference in any of the water pumps in this thread so far.

Pulley size, that is a whole other thread I believe. I have Unorthodox Pulleys just sitting with brand new Gates belts!

There is a difference between the N1/16VE and the DE/20VE water pumps.

The DE/20VE has deeper blades in the z-axis. You can't tell by the pics because you are looking straight at it. If you move it side way, you can see the difference.

If the De is daily driven, there's no point in getting a N1/16VE water pump. However, if you are going to do a lot high rpm driving than yes get one.

Looks like we need a caliper measurement of blade height.

No need for a caliper, you can clearly see the difference here:

left: 20VE/DE, right: N1/16VE

Not the point. The thinner blades are less prone to cavitation. They slosh around less air during high RPM operation.
