can someone that knows this info please inform me of what a sr20de motor high port oil pressure should be at cold start and warm idle please. Thanks

Sounds more like fuel pressure, which would be 38psi at idle, 43 with the vacuum pipe disconnected.

For OIL ...

I'd often see 50-60psi at cold (straight after startup).

Normal warm idle would be ~15psi with 5W30.

I am running a 5w40 and I see about 30psi idle after beating on it. 25psi is as low as I have seen it on my engine. I idle around 1000rpm also. But I don't have an oil cooler. When i first start it cold, it is around 70-80psi iirc with a high idle of 1500rpm.

For a VE or a RR those pressures are probably in spec, even higher at cold idle (i've seen a VE peg a 100psi oil gauge before, as well as a GTI-R), the OP was asking about a DE High port which has a far less capable pump and the service manual spec for warm idle pressure is way under 20psi.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing to have more pressure at idle, likely due to the weight of the oil perhaps, i've never really done any testing or anything like that, but i just stated the 'normal' spec.

when i had my sr 20de high port, i use to get 15 psi @ idle and about 80psi cold start.

it was boosted though
