Another man dead set on having a DE done right. It is the road less travelled but you will find it rewarding.

Lol, typo I tell you, typo !

Des are great motors, theres much better performance in ve though.

If your dead set on a de the same concepts go to improve any n/a motor. Light weight parts, raise the compression, velocity takes precident over overall flow, raise the lift and duration of the cams, better flowing header, more fuel and more aggressive timing.

Stratton.

Yeah, I just wanted to keep it simple. It just doesnt seem right to me having an sr20ve in a car thats 19 years old now haha. Like I said though, simple & easy. Its either DE or det and I already have a det... Getting tired of the money pit, it never ends!

No kidding. I thought about doing a simple an easy VE swap. But since the P11 is so fat, it would be too slow, thus turbo parts start adding in.

No 10:1, I keep forgetting that motors with compression have vvl. So I'm thinking gtir intake manifold & quad throttle bodies, C1 cams. Does anyone have any experience with the gtir intake mani on a 53J?
