you mean vG30... ? the junk v6 nissan used for a lil bit?

No, VG is an entirely different motor than the VQ, VG was the earlier motors, VQ came just after. VG is timing belt driven, VQ is chain.

VQ came in the maximas and I30's to start with, then became the 3.5 later down the line in 02.
