Probably nothing noticeable unless you are on a dyno. Honestly, i ran without one for a few years and it was ok. Not worth doing again to me. If you want to take the pump off you can go with an electric PS pump.

less parasitic drag on the engine. 1/2hp maybe, and slightly quicker throttle response from less drag on the system. also increased work room in the bay due to removing pumps/pulleys/lines, etcc......................................
The only gains for doing this is for a much cleaner engine bay and less potential parts to fail in the engine bay. I have always done it on my B13's, but the P11 will be keeping it (getting old I guess).

Not worth removing it. Did it to my B14 and regreted it. It can also be a saftey issue with the pump removed because your not able to turn the steering wheel as fast as before. This almost got me into accidents a few times. It will take getting used to. If this is your daily driver I do not recommend it..daily drivers are supposed to be fun and easy to drive. If it's a track car though pull that bitch out. Overall weight savings could be 10-20 pounds all together lines, pump and fluid canister.
