Thread: Should I usw this cams in my sr20de ?

These here are SR3 Cams, in the red box you can see the damage.
I talked to someone who is possible to repair them, he said its not recommended to repair them, what would you say??
Because, as he explained, if they were repaired this area is still not as strong when they came out of factory.

Others say it not a relevant part of cam so I can use it with the damage...


What would you do?

I would toss them. That crack looks like it runs to dowel pin which is important.

Dam it, so I think only to use the inlet cam is not possible ? Or is it possible to purchase the outlet cam @ jwt?

Well you can use the good cam by itself, but not sure what the gains would be like. I am not sure about just buying a single cam. Ask Andreas Miko as he sells JWT and would know.

Where did you get them? Was this shipping damage? Dont use that if you want it to last.

They were wrapped to a piece of oak for shipping.

I know that there was a damage but i had no idea that its at such an important place, so its my own fault would you say there is an HP increase with the stock outlet cam and the JWT inlet cam?
