hear me out. why you will be doing the same ammount of work, spending basically the same ammount of money.

why not end up with a motor that

1. makes more power.

2. has better street manners.

3. better gas mileage.

4. more power.

stratton.

believe me i know where your coming from im no newb to the whole thing! but doing DE makes sense cos i can do it over time. eg. get cams fit cams, get pulleys fit pulleys, road tune. ve pistons get HG and fit pistons lol

im not aiming for anything rediculous just a nice strong power figure. and something that will (without vvl) leave an SIR civic in the rear view lol

i will do ve in the future but in the mean time im doing DE

try all you want, you aint changing my mind haha

Throw the head on the block with the pistons in. rotate crank and see of the piston makes contact. if it does see how far it lifts the head

I can't see there being an issue.

ok sorry now that ive actually thought about that, will it work? the head will lift at different, ineven rates will it not? thus giving different measurements along the gap?

i'm confused what your motivation is to stay DE if you already have the VE head? That's the bulk of the price right there
