so you are getting 16ve pistons and BC cams? This thread makes no sense. You say you already have a ve head.... but you are going to sell it and get sr16 pistons and BC cams? You say you arent going for all out power but you are going to run an extremely high compression ratio on the street with aftermarket cams?

see this is exactly what i need to know! should i just stick with the standard pistons?

fuel isnt a problem as 50% of petrol stations in ireland have 99 ron petrol.

SR16 pistons are around 11.7:1. Just dont skim head/block a lot. You will need to run 100oct. fuel. Plus all these mods are pointless without ECU tuning.

Sr16 pistons with a de head is like you said middle 11's but does not require 100 octane. Hell be fine running 93 octane. If ur dead set on bc3s get cheap springs n retainers and ull be fine to 9 grand plus /clearance wise.

No not even a fully ported de flows like a ve, its much more then just the ports. It like comparing a b series head to a k20.

whats the absolute max you can run the standard valve springs at? i heard they can take 8k but im unsure. purely informative atm as im happy with the 7.5k rev limit

U got 93 ron ? If not yeah 95 is overkill but fine.

Bc2s ull be fine till 8 grand on ur stock valve train.
