Do platnium plugs required gap or not?
hey guys, got a set of NGK plat. Just wonder if it required gapping...many thanks

yeah def dont do it. the tip is too fine they will just snap

Ah...thank god I didn't. Sort of hesitate. These dudes at Autozone wasn't sure also.

No on plat. and iridium right?

right.. you should just go with some ngk bk7re's. im a little iffy about iridium or platinum,

it still in the box. I don't have the gauge to check the gap. So per the manual, gap should be .043mm. So I have no idea what is the gap for these new plugs.

Wonder if I should just drop it in there already without checking gap.

I like coppers because they are cheap. The iridiums last longer tho.

you can, but its not required. i never did understand how people gapped their plugs by putting it in the circle ones and twisted it from one end to the next to gap it. that usually results in a broken tip. you can check it with one however, but not gap it that way.

coppers have less resistance than platinum and iriduims. doesnt help that they are also insanely cheap . you will be more at ease every year knowing your plugs are changed and fresh rather than checking iridium plugs at 100k

Why ? I have excellent experiences with irridiums.
