Can I have some of what you're smoking?

Unfortunately, we are already losing support. With the economy how it is now, a lot of the small aftermarket companies are going bankrupt. There's just not enough demand for parts to make a profitable business. Unless Nissan decides to bring back a non-lame version of the SR20 for a new car, we will forever be trapped in the 90's, remembering the good days when gas was only $2 lol.

How old are you? In 1998, I remember paying .95c/gal, and I still had to look for nickles and dimes to pay for gas!

The Sr20 is way ahead of it's time. BMW is coming out with a 2.0 liter turbo engine that will produce 142 HP. Reminds me of a W11.

The SR20 series engine will last for many years ,
B13,NX,B14,B15,P10,P11,P12,W11,U12,U13 thats only FWD

It is the heart and soul of many cars built with it and one of the best engines built by nissan.

Since i first encountered it back in 1995 was intrigued ill never forget the day .
I owned a 91 taurus SHO , headers , 3 inch flowmaster exhaust , chipped ecu 5 speed and i was challenged by a Burgandy se-r B13 , needless to say i saw what that little car could do .
1st gear he got the jump im spining tires as my SHO ,FWD V6 3.0 Platform built by Yamaha for ford had plenty of tq , 2nd gear i gripped and pulled by his side and 3rd i started pulling away but man i was impressed .

4 years later I bought a 200sx and here we are today .
I have owned and sold ,parted 1 Nx , 3 B13 ,2 G20 , 1 B14

Its funny as I recall Our sr20 took craps on the honda motors back in the day like they said with simple bolt ons. I remember the b series swaps were all the rage and I remember taking my 91 se-r with boltons and jwt s3's and absolutely murdering the all motor hondas back then. Hell boosted single cams with fmu's couldnt even keep up with me. Im talking street and track. Being at the track every weekend you get to see a lot of different cars. I always remember people coming up to my car after running 14.3 14.4 @97mph all night long on street tires and asking me if it was boosted or nitrous. They couldnt believe a turbo single cam civic just got smoked. Or a mustang GT just got smoked. lol I just laughed.

The SR20 will never die. I can gurantee i will always own one as long as I live. I loved clowning on b16 eg's and ek's hell even gsr swapped hatches. That and I was a pretty damn good driver. lol 500 drag passes at the track will do that to ya.

In closing SR20 FTW

you were running 14.3 with S3's and street tires?!??! what bolt ons?

I bought my SE-R brand new back in 1992. It was the STOCK 7,500 rpm redline that sealed the deal for me. My Mustang buddies at the time couldn't wrap their heads around the idea of a $12K street car revving that high - and running with the V8's.

All night long man. Full interior 91 se-r w/ sunroof. Only weight reduction was no a/c compressor and lines and no spare tire. Everything else like the condensor and crap was there.

Thats why im surprised that more people with de's are not running quicker. I had a short ram intake w/jwt pop charger, ur 2 piece pulley set, jun ultralightweight flywheel, spec clutch, ssac 2 1/4" secondary header, and 2 1/4" exhaust w/ no cat. and yes jwt s3 cams.

I would figure a better 4-1 header, 3" exhaust, s4 cams, and maybe a realtime ecu to tune it would get a de in a full inteior se-r into the 13's very easily.

I was running on Falken Azenis back when they had the 205 55 14 size. 2.1 60ft

I remember running a black boosted single cam civic ex and he went like 14.8@98mph. I smoked the crap out of him. The all motor hondas, well, I can say i never lost to one.

Also, Here in yuma, my buddy peter used to be the one all motor import to beat. Back then the only cars faster than him was his buddies big turbo eagle talon and a turbo civic hatch. The civic hatch was not much faster than his b14 either. Other than that, there was not a honda in town that could touch his b14 back in the day with just simple bolt ons. The only thing hondas had going for them back then was a bit better suspension platform and a stronger trans.
