It's not easy on a hiport but can be done. I did it about 3 times now. A lowport is easier I think since it sits up higher. I used a 1/4 in ratchet with a 4 in extension and 1 of those flex joint things. There are 4 10mm bolts holding it on. If it's just a swap for a new 1 then remove bolts, clean gasket surface on plenum, put new gasket and IACV on, then bolt it down, plug it in then reset idle. Very very simple. Just a lil harder if it's on a highport because of tight spaces. But I did it on mine 3 times. You can also make a new gasket with a box cutter and gasket paper. You can buy that stuff at any auto parts store for +/- a dollar a foot

I just replaced the IACV on my lowport and it really helped alot. The hard part was getting the adjustment screw dialed in so that the engine was getting the right amount of air

Cleaning works wonders...I would do that first before spending that kinda money on a part.

Once it's off soak it in throttle body cleaner. Also... use some q tips to clean all the corners inside and out. Makes a huge difference.
