also about your maf.. you didn't put any air filter. i also did it mine? only i put a tiny screen so it won't suck any stone or any..

is this way more better than adding an air intake? less restriction?

thanks

Absolute not . Have mine in the trunk 10 years no issues . Juat make sure your grounded good . It improves the weight balance in a minor way you probably wont notice it unless your a full out autox'er or track guy. Besides it cleans up the engine bay. Some drag strips and tracks require it to be in a sealed box and have a cut off switch.

I don't know if there's any dyno charts specifically with an air filter versus none on the same exact intake setup. I forget why I had my filter off for the photo, perhaps I was oiling it, but I wouldn't run too long without one, especially in the summer (bugs) and in dusty areas, you have nothing to stop these particles from going into your throttle body besides some bends and turns.

@storm thanks for info..

Btw, just wondering for highport.. now I'm starting build a my own CAI as I can't find any ready made in our area.. just notice on the stock pipe from throttle body to maf. that there is 2 hoses connected. but as i check some engine bays here .. seems that only on the front has a hose.. is it possible to condemn the other vacuum hose at the back? or? any better suggestion.. thanks..
