I thought Dai drove Mikes DE B14 car and Mike drove the VE B14?

Does the B18 header bolt up? I'd like to see 200whp out of a DE again. Haven't seen one since Mike K and his Dog Car.

Ref the Janspeed Head, you got me there! It wasn't free.

The B18 header needs a bit of work to make it fit. Its not just a case of swapping to an SR head flange as i'd hoped. Its also quite tight between the engine brace and sump, so i decided to modify the secondaries to group them closer togother in order to fit in that space.

Please use the C6M cams. I had forgotten about these.

I want a 250whp DE. I would not worry about the idle, as you can just bump it up. If this is a daily driver, forget it. But if it is a street legal toy.. i dont see any reason not to.

Do you have any head flow test #'s from this head?

*edit * The only major limiting factor i see here with going all out on this is the compression and fuel availability. you are running VE pistons with probably no custom valve reliefs, so C6Ms may not even clear that. However if you ditched them and went to a 13:1 CR setup the C6MS might be worthwhile.

The car is used pretty much daily, so I don't think i'll be going to the C6M.
13:1CR on our UK 99RON with these JWT C3 cams should be okay.

I havent had this head flow tested, i would like to get some numbers..so we'll see.

The pistons i'll be using are a set of used CP 12.5:1 VE items, they have deep valve reliefs so no problem there.

Anyway, the main update here was the Tri-Y header fitment...the other plans with pistons and ITB's are a little while away. I will keep you guys posted as and when something happens.

YES!!

super glad to see you have picked up those throttle bodies

Are you going to use the plenum that was being made for them?

still going to stick with the Dastek?

Looking forward to the new numbers. Good luck. Loving this DE. My brother in law has a pretty kick as built DE with ITB's too and it's right up there wiht N1'd VE's.

I will be keeping an eye out for your results if you don't mind. I have a custom 4-1 on my built ve now and my primaries look almost the same lenth as those in your pic. If you get good gains with this I will remove my 4-1 merge, and make up 2 x 2-1 merges there to basically convert to tri-y.

ps, are those primaries equal lenth exactly? and what diameter are the primaries and secondaries?

No, you are comparing something totally different...

US Nissan Motorsports
US JWT

and

Japan Nismo

He propably has real Nismo cams. Good thing about JWT cams for DE is, that it doesnt matter if its mild S3 cams or big cams like C3, all for same price... and stiffer valve springs are really cheap for DE. This setup has potential to be really good.

Cheers dude, would like to hear more about that ITB DE setup and management.

With the Tri-Y, when modified and routed this way, Primary 1 and 4 end up being slightly shorter by around 2-3" i believe.

The big tube Tri-y header has stepped primaries that are 1.75",1.875", 2.0" O.D.

The secondaries are 2.1".

I understand that is the US catalog.

From JWT....

If someone could give out some specs or a part number, that would certainly help, wouldn't it, jagy?

Did you read it? I did said nothing about JWT/Nissan Motorsports cams. I was talking about Nismo cams, no rebranded JWT cams sold by Nissan Motorsports USA. It has nothing to do with Japan Nismo cams.... got it?
