Yeah, was a 1" bore sniffer pipe with a wideband sensor tapped into it.
For ECU management im uning the factory ECU with a Dastek Unichip.

Yeah i thought that after watching the beginning of the video, although im certain the smoke was condensation due to the cold weather and the engine not completely upto operating temp. Clears up after the first run. Listen to the idle at around 2minutes

Cheers, it goes pretty well yeah....i think theres more to come though.

Looking at the curves you'd never guess i was running 285* C3 Cams. Max power at 6800rpm is too low for these cams in my oppinion, somethings not quite right.

Next steps will be to get the torque holding on better to redline. Whether its cam gear adjustment needed or a different header (mazworx primaries too long?).

I think theres more hp in there with some tweaks.

Only problem with fine tuning cam gears on an SR is you have to muck around taking everything off every time you want to adjust them, a timely thing to do on a dyno when you're being charged by the 1/2 hour!
Only downside to a chain I guess.

Keep us updated, might push me to do a few more things .

couldn't you modify a valve cover for the dyno day that would allow you to pull some plugs on the front and adjust the cam gears? I feel like i have seen it done before

just want a touch more fuel boy and you're good i reckon. maybe the header is holding you back though.

That's a great result. However I question as to why you didn't tune to 8k rpm, given the power curve and the fact that you're running c3s?

With regards to your idle, it reminds me of mine, however it has even less rhythm to it. But lumpy as farque which is good. (:

Cheers Vumnoo,
Im on the stock ECU rpm limit right now, 7400rpm.

The power curve at the moment doesnt really warrant an 8k rpm cut, peak power is at 6800rpm. In an ideal world we would have taken the time while tuning on the dyno to test different cam gear settings...however, things dont always go to plan and we simply ran out of time.

I will be heading back on the dyno to get the cams dialled in later this year. Along with this i'll be getting the rev cut raised to suit.

I really fancy a custom intake manifold though!! We'll see.

I think with better tuning you`ll see a more peaky power delivery, and it`ll hold its power for longer. When Greg tuned mine the power did drop off like yours, but he just kept upping the timing map, and then the power would hold.

Great car Dale.
