Why do you believe that the intake didn't work better that stock?
I am planning to make an SR20de with that manifold and i am very interesting...maybe needs higher compression or cams?

Japman - i dont know really, I think the specs of the KSR intake just arent suited very well to this RPM range for N/A. I'd guess the the runners are too short, but there may be more to it than that.

The engine is 11:1CR with 285deg cams.

At a later date I will modify the intake and try again with a different length runner.

Next up is header change though.

I think you'll find some gains wit a different header.

Highport manifold doesnt look too bad.. Its nice to see that whole setup works well with few mods. But yeah, with better header you will definately see some gains.

Btw. what fuel do you run?

Maybe you need more rpms with the short runners...I am planning an engine with 12+ compression ratio and 272degrees cams but with the same rpm as you!!
With longer runner at the header will be much gain i think!!

Do the B18 tri-y modified jobby. It's cheap and seems to work wonders. And it's more forgiving to various engine variations.

I use 97 or 99RON here in the UK.

The plan is to remove the Mazworx and modify the runner length and possibly the choke diameter.
