Yes, this pic helps show the difference,
Its a template of a DE Gasket overlayed on a VE head:

Thanks ! I sold the header to a VE-owner in the mean time, so I will forward him this topic.

Good too see another Autech getting a tickle. Putting out the same numbers as mine too. How does she drive? I find mine real torque with a decent top end as well, very drivable power.

Don't focus too much on the numbers mate unless it is brag rights you're after, I know for a fact that I could throw mine on a different dyno to get a higher reading, but what's the point?

What injectors are you running?

It drives well...i know some poeple are put off about running big cams in the DE's because theyre worried about the low down torque loss and driveability issues.

I havent had any noticeable issues, it still pulls well everywhere...but more so at higher RPM.

Im running the stock DE 259cc sidefeed injectors at the moment, but my tuner advised it needs a higher fuel pressure or injector upgrade if i take things any further.

The car is going on a dynojet this weekend, (nothing in the setup has changed) although it will be interesting to see how the results vary to the last dyno. Dynojets seem the most popular/common on here so it should give me a better comparison to go off.

Out of curiousity, do you know to which percentage of utilisation your injectors are reaching at the moment? Are we talking mid 90s%?

Mine we're in the 90's, so I keep a good eye on them! I was going to use some purple injectors from a s14 turbo, got them the day before the tune and they were rooted, stupid idiot had used a screw driver to punch them out of the rail so I had to run the standard reds, worked out well in the end though.

Yeah I though that with the big cams (they were the biggest kelford offered at the time) that the car would run like a bag of poos, but was happy with the end result

I gave him a lift to pick up the car - and he was told the injectors were at 98% cycle if I recall correctly.
Somewhere very close to their limit anyway, guess the 259's are about done at 200hp then.
DALE - I'm looking forward to seeing this hit some figures at the weekend boyo!!

Sr20de dyno results in
As promised, the car went on the dynojet today.

186whp/157wtq

Spec:
Stock Autech Bottom end
JWT C3 Camshafts
BC Valve Springs
Adjustable cam gears (set at +5/-5)
Ported and Polished 53J Highport Head
Mazworx 4-1 Header
3" Catback
11:1CR

You can see the AFR's are a little on the lean side, so i'll be switching to an adjustable FPR.
