I got out as much as possible yes..... You need as much ethanol in there as possible, so that your tune is correct. The higher the content of ethanol, the leaner your tune will be.

This is the issue of running winter mix E70, then running spring mix E74, then summer mix E79-E85. If you tune on winter mix, you'll run leaner as the ethanol content rises in the warm weather mixes. You have to check the state schedule so you know which mix is at the pump. Flex fuel vehicles compensate for this...if your tuned for it though, you need to compensate with further tuning.

I'll simply have a winter program, and a summer program. Run the summer program in spring and summer, and the winter proggy in winter.

I want to run it in my NX too!

I didn't change anything. I was running Precision 880's with a walbro pump, and ran the gasoline out, then pumped E85 in. Then I retuned via CromePro EMS.

Second, try to get a gas mileage reading with E85. From what I've seen, American FlexFuel cars get 2-3 less MPG's then their Normal fuel eating cars...

Thanks!

Well, consumption did go up certainly. Your flowing roughly 30% more fuel all the time, so yes, your mpg drop. I suspect with further tuning though, I could really get descent mileage. With the octane rating of E85, I feel that part throttle tuning lean and with some timing, using the full octane stability of the fuel may get some mileage out of it.

Like someone else said though....it's not about gas mileage, it's about race gas for the street. If you run race gas that costs 6.00/gallon, but get normal gas mileage it's gonna cost more than getting a little worse gas mileage on E85 at 2.79/gallon...know what I'm sayin.

I will say this....my beater ran out of gas the other day, and all I had in my gas can was E85. I said f*ck it and put it in. I made it to the gas station with no problem...lol. It probably ran lean, but no detected pinging at all.

Oh yeah...and to stay slight on topic. I have that header the O.P. sent, and I'm trying to get the jig built here. I have a couple things ahead, and with the race season on the doorstep I have two high profile turbo mani's to finish. I'll jig it probably next week.

The newly approved SFWD Class Borg Warner S372 turbo is just so damn big in person!

Thanks for the info

And yes I do agree, getting little worse gas mileage sure as heck beats the crap out of paying $6/gall....

What happened? I have the unit for jigging in order to build the unit. I'm targeting May for the first one to get tested.
