I have to admit, I'm not sure what you've contributed to this thread though? You've stated that someone makes them, then that someone made them, then you lost the point that this entire effort was to make an AFFORDABLE header, not one that was developed by the most expensive header company on the planet (I'll concede that they do good work though) and will be priced accordingly.

If your intention was to bring about the design, yet plug another fabricator, that's fine. I would just assume that if that were the case though, then you should start another group buy thread on his behalf. I'd certainly think you should talk to the guy making it first though, before you start quoting prices and creating buy lists.

i was waiting for the haters to show up with their usual "why not just buy the $1k+ header?" "
another copier i see" blah blah. this shows what this guy is all about......his own ****. more power to ya homie. very interested to see what you'll make.

any chance you can post some pics of any honda headers you have made?

ummm. first off, you can ask pretty much anyone on this forum and they can tell you i'm not one to support ssac, obx, whatever. when you said:

Everyone should email the guy and let them know that sqd set it all up on their behalf. I don't even own a Nissan, but a Burns designed/collectored header for that price.... I'll buy one.

that's what i thought you meant. sorry for your misinterpretation.

i never claimed to be bringing anything to your thread and i have no idea where you would have gotten that either.

it was not my intention to "plug" another fabricator. i was merely suggesting if there is still a demand for this header and no supply, why not make the arrangements so you can be the supplier. i NEVER said that you should just copy it. in fact i said:

that header (from my knowledge) mas made the most power out of any fwd na sr header that was available for purchase. please correct me if i'm wrong. i was ONCE AGAIN, merely suggesting the idea that you could take up where they left off WITH PERMISSION and save yourself some time in R&D, which from the looks of all your work (sick by the way) seems like you do.

Don't get bent over the deal, I just was trying to clarify what your motives were. Clearly, the thread was started in order to serve the enthusiasts. If the header you speak of is available, or once was available but discontinued, then there must be a reason.

Nothing with a burns component, or something that even made by burns bends is going to be cheap. Their products, supplies, accessories, collectors, are all expensive.

anyways, i think this will be a neat project to follow. i am definately subscribed. good luck to you and mad props for your quality of fabrication and originality.

Well, at any rate, you successfully killed this thread....lol.

Well, I sure hope he did NOT. Keep it up please...

Charles chose to dis-associate himself with the SR20 crowd (rightfully or not) and his "SR20-output" until now has been 5+2 headers through Greg. I still say that a sub-600 header just close to whatever he could make for 850-1200 will be a welcome addition and will fair well in the SR20 community.

Who owns one of those headers in order to even do an objective test versus that one? I understand there are dyno sheets from other cars, but each setup is going to respond in different ways, not to mention that dyno's output different numbers based on correction factors.

I'm continuing development of a header. I'll be working with O.P., as I've just received his unit that will allow me to jig the basic shape needed for a header to fit. I'm going to build a prototype, head down to MD to meet the O.P., and then we'll see what happens from there.

do your thing man, the more header options the better.

if its priced right and has good gains it will sell, you dont need me to tell you this.

as far as the freak headers go, greg vogel who is a vendor here dynoed his fuji header then dynoed a freak header, no gains, loses in the mid range all this on a healthy ve. there arent many of them nor will there be for numerious reasons.

stratton.

i have a header this is very very simmilar to mike Ks burns header (other then the burns collector) and it made 10whp/5ftlbs more then the ssac on my bolted on VE. although it did loose some midrange power its awesome on top.

if i have the chance i would like to do a test with my header vs the fuji

please tell us when you are coming down to MD as i would really like to meet you. i remember kyle (b15sentraDE) telling me he was going to be getting one of the other headers talked about in this thread and if he is willing to lone it to me for a single dyno run i would be more than willing to try out both on my car assuming my engine is completed in time. if not i would chip in for a few dyno pulls for rob to test out both.

and you being in our general area is great because quite a few of us are doing N/A builds and we can be guinea pigs
