I'm not the one setting the pricing, and look at it this way, if he can make a good DYNO PROVEN 4-1 for under $600, what more of a discount do you need?

the average price for a good/okay 4-1 headers for the SR is around $900. if we can get this for $600 there's your discount.

Alright, so this thread shows some promise. I'm making some parts for the forced induction guys, so it's only natural to give the N/A world some love.

I've been talking with the 0.P. about doing a header design that can hit an "affordable" benchmark, and I'm gonna do my best on that end. I'll quickly try to answer questions and fill in any blanks with having to relay a bunch of info through the O.P.

Price:

Like stated, I'm trying to offer a vialbe header option that is affordable versus typical one-off or equal length units. I've set 650.00 as my roof...the more interest...LEGITIMATE interest that is, the more I will be able to become flexible. I have to justify my time, jig costs, time, initial investment, time...did I say time...lol.

So that's the standing on that issue.

Design:

Fitment is a given. Fitment will be based off of jigs that allow the header to fit. I am going to obtain true engine bay dimensions to ascertain just how much room I have to move. Certainly there are key design elements I feel are important in header design, and knowing my maximum allowable room is important on that end.

I do have though, several types of design software, and other tools available to ensure a viable concept is built. My target is clearly going to be power across the rpm range, and whether it be 4-1 or 4-2-1 long hybrid is something I will determine.

Timeframe:

While we are in the infant stages, I would like to say no more than three months until proof of concept and testing is done. I have my current business to deal with, along with fab of turbo manifolds and other forced induction components to build. I will though, make this a priority, and do my best to keep everyone updated, and get it done.

Discount:

While, as previously stated, the projected price is essentially the discount, I MAY offer some type of pre-order incentive to those willing to "invest" in the production of this unit. How many people I may extend that to is unknown, and I won't announce that for another two weeks or so probably. If your on a budget, this WILL be your best opportunity to get it at any type of substantial discount. Your pre-paid, patient faith of the unit will save you money essentially.

My reputation/background:

I've done business online for about 10 years. I've worked and built, almost primarily in the Honda market. I've done business locally, and have done just about every Honda swap, mod, build out there. I got more into full time fabrication about two and a half years ago making turbo manifolds and custom intake manifolds for Honda guys.

Currently I build an array of various manifolds, and working with several professional race cars on the west coast, as well as sponsoring two vehicles in the East Coast honda challenge series for N/A headers.

I've had a clean rep online and have been around for alot of years, so your money is safe in the end. I'm interested in legitimate business and getting more of my stuff out there, so you guys are helping me as much as I'm helping you. So, on that note....let's see some interest and get the ball rollin.

i dont care if it was on a copy of the old AEBS 4-1 header, ill be good with that since a 4-1 header is so hard to find for sr20s
