Hopefully not 10k on the stroker crank. That would be kind of scary.

is that what you were meaning to say?

Another thing you should know is as you go bigger in displacement, air speeds change.

You will lose the very little lope the DE cams offer as it is.

weird, I don't understand it though.. if you could somehow explain it, or link me to some reading.. I am clueless.. I thought the lope was all in the size of the cam.

BTW, if I do go with a VE, I probably won't bore to 92mm, or at all. I will just get some pistons that can handle the huge lift on the kelford's.. 225 peak hp is PLENTY for me.. especially if it's all found on the top end.

this is why i don't want a stroker motor.. I preferred my VQ30DE over my VQ35DE because of the revs, I doubt I'd like a stroker SR..

Factory Nissan pistons have enough clearence for the kelfords. You can go deeper if you like but I have brought them to 10k with no issue.

but VE factory piston's are 11.5:1 compression are they? i need to go at least 11.5:1 according to Kelford's site..

Kelfords website recommends 11.5:1 compression ratio for the 184c.. won't that be a "taller" piston (referencing how high it goes in the combustion chamber) ??

Has nothing to do with the orentation of the valve releif.

Remember the valves come down at an angle in the chamber.

16v Pistons have a taller dome and deeper valve notches.

if 225 is all you want, n1 cams and sr16 pistons should do it.

edit: i forget that you want the lopey idle.
