true, C6m cams don't have much low end torque, but the 92mm crank should help there.

Could you put in different motor mounts, aggressive cams, and get more of an effect or "feel" out of the requested "lopey idle"? Put urethane in the ones that do not resist torque, and softer mounts (OEM) in the ones that do resist torque? The whole car might shake like a strippers ass (?).

Side effects may vary....

Just brainstormin' for you Matt.

What everyone fails to realize is cams designed around a 86mm crank will react totally different with the 92mm crank.

You may find yourself making less hp with the larger crank with the stuff designed around a 2.0

What is the answer, spend about $5k for JWT to design and develop a cam for a 2.4L motor?

CM6 cams on a 2L 86 mm piston SR20DE might be a little weak on the low side, but on a 92 mm piston 2.3L motor there will be no lack of power anywhere. I bet it makes more power than a stock cam 2L SR20VE or SR20DE which are not short on power down low. There is a point where 12 to 1 compression and .3L in displacement will just be to much and it will over come the large cams short comings

JWT is not making anything new for the SR20DE motor. There is no money over here to fuck with us anymore, so please dont hold your breath.

lots of good info today guys, thanks!

i won't be going with a larger stroke, but the info provided is good to know. i didn't know prior, but it makes sense that a longer stroke would need different cams.. the timing of the piston would seem the durarion of the cam would need to be different if it needed the same amount of lift. or of you wanted the same durarion, you'd want less lift..

would it be correct to say that simply boring a motor wouldn't change the cam design needs as much (or at all) when compared to a longer stroke?
